bullshit. they were throwing coins at Rooney when he was taking a 2h corner ... if it was a united fan he must have been aiming for atkinson who was pathetic today but it wasn't a 1-off incident of coin throwing from that exact corner and rooney was pointing to the city section when it was happening.
btw i remember united fans throwing coins at bellamy and suarez in old trafford and no action was taken. only way you can stop that shit is to start taking away home games like they do in most other countries. certainly not isolated to just today's game but the FA has to get serious about it at some point. it's now been united, city, and chelsea fans in the span of 12 months

True. Ultimately it is up to the fans in the section to police themselves and alert the proper authorities when someone is launching projectiles at players right?-- a general sense that you will be reported, along with a lifetime ban from all stadiums for your actions would maybe end it. Unfortunately it appears the problem has become widespread, and the crowd mentality to not report poor behavior allows it to continue.
pretty sure that trend is 0-1 this year as i believe denver covered the week after the big road comeback in san diego...think they were a short dog in that game then favored and covered following week.
